Big day! First Park Activation for my new gear. FT-891 and new 23AHr battery out for inaugural runs. And boy - did it run! The 42 contacts came quicker than I could type and a total of 29,000 miles of airwave travel in under an hour! The radio worked great, I can safely say that I really like it now that I have used it in the field.
As for the new battery, I am pretty impressed with the first run on it. Started fully charged and used approx 12% of the new 23Ah battery for this activation (which included KX4BY also activating afterwards with his 991A running 85w)
